The Empowerment Team:
Wendy Johnson is the Founder/President of the National Empowerment Group. Inc. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin she grew up dreaming big and wanted to make a difference in the community. She was a single parent at the age of 19 and did not know what to do or how to get there. Knowing that things would not be easy; with the support of family and friends, she was able to persevere through the various trials and tribulations of single parenthood.
Jay Holmes is the Vice President, Co-Founder & COO of the National Empowerment Group, Inc., and Founder of the "Women Unite to Win" Women & Girls Appreciation Luncheon founded in MN in 2009. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from St. Could State University with 15+ years of teaching and social service experience with special needs and at-risk students.
Our Mission is to provide educational, professional, personal empowerment and artistic programs for all people of color with an emphasis on girls, women and senior women.
The National Empowerment Group, Incorporated is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization and has hosted various empowerment programs and events in the community. Over the years, we have honored more than 100 women and approximately 6,000 people have attended our empowerment programs. Hundreds of women are involved and over 100,000 women have been engaged nationally. We are humbly seeking your support, which we will contribute directly towards empowering girls, women and senior women through specific health and wellness programming that positively influences her community.
